The Big Bang

Built during 20 years, run for 43 years – destroyed during seconds!!

After a smaller bang about 50 minutes before that destroyed the boiling house a big bang (2nd part of the biggest blasting event in 2019 in Germany) destroyed the cooling tower and the chimney within the same minute!
Unfortunately I could not use my tele lens to capture the collapse. Both detonations had a great delay and there were no warning signals hearable in our distance just before the shot. So we had to be ready to shoot all the time. Fixed on a tripod the camera would have been blocked for any other shot during that time and without a tripod the time to target at the plant and to steady the camera would have been too short.
