Hi Vasilis,
Lately I have been doing the following in Topaz Adjust.
On opening I make sure I click on "Reset All" in the bottom right corner.
Then move to the "Exposure" section on the right side and
move the slider for "Regions" to the right to 50. You can back off to around 25 and see also the changes while using "Adaptive Exposure" together.
Then I move the slider for "Adaptive Exposure" to the right until I find what I like.
In the past I've used "Spicify" as my favorite. Doing the above procedure I can back off the settings some so that it doesn't look so much like HDR.
I use Topaz on nearly every one of my images. I get more saturation of colors, more snap in contrast, more detail in highlights and shadows. I think it was one of my better software investments.
Play around and let me know how things go.
